Cardinal Mooney & Ursuline will become a part of the all new Ohio Catholic Athletic Conference starting in the Fall of 2026. This will start as a football only league but over time other OHSAA sanctioned sports such as basketball & baseball can be a part of this league.

Other schools that will be members will be Akron St Vincent St Mary, Cleveland Villa Angela St Joseph, Columbus Bishop Hartley, Columbus Bishop Watterson, Columbus St Francis DeSales, & Walsh Jesuit out of Cuyahoga Falls.

"This unique partnership allows these eight Catholic schools the great opportunity to

showcase not only their prowess in the athletic realm but their acumen in the

classroom as well as their leadership in service to their respective communities." it was stated in a press release from one of the other member schools.

Also, what we are hearing from sources is that Ursuline wants to continue their relationship with the Youngstown City School District. " We will continue to play the SVC school in all sports for as long as we can. We've had a great relationship with the Youngstown City School Districts AAthletic Department over the years & we have agreed to continue that relationship into the future. What that means in terms of conference play is to be determined."
