Fitch hiring a former player, alumni to lead their girls basketball program


On Thursday afternoon, Austintown Fitch board approved the hiring of new girls basketball coach Natalie Lynn.  


Natalie, A 2017 graduate from Austintown tells our Austin Malutic she is very excited to be back home coaching the ladies. 


During her playing career, Lynn was named All-Northeast Ohio Honorable Mention in Division 1 and to the Division 1 District All-Star Team. She was also the Mahoning County Most Valuable Player, a First Team All-Conference selection


Per a source of Austin’s, Austintown had 16 people apply for the job. 


Athletic Director Russell Houser adds he’s very excited to see Natalie back home and thinks she’ll do very well with the girls. 


Our Austin Malutic spoke to Coach Lynn one on one following the hiring and her interview is below. 


The following schools are still in need of a girls basketball coach.  Those include; Hubbard, Bristol, Lordstown, and Jackson Milton.
